Nodava is an independent educational tool. This page explains what it does, what it will never do, and the limits you should keep in mind every time you read a result.
Not medical advice
Nothing in Nodava — including biomarker explanations, health summaries, scores, trends, patterns, or suggested next steps — is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Nodava does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any question about a medical condition or lab result, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read here.
What Nodava cannot do
- It cannot diagnose, rule out, or confirm any disease or condition.
- It cannot recommend treatments, medications, supplements, or doses.
- It cannot see your symptoms, medications, family history, or prior conditions, so it cannot interpret a result in your full clinical context.
- It cannot replace repeat or confirmatory testing ordered by a provider.
- It cannot be used for emergency, urgent, or time-sensitive medical decisions.
Accuracy and AI limitations
Nodava uses automated text extraction and AI-generated explanations. These systems can misread a number, miss a biomarker, apply a reference range that does not match your lab, or produce wording that does not fit your situation. Reference ranges also vary by laboratory, method, age, sex, pregnancy, and other factors. Always compare what you see in Nodava against your original lab report, and treat your provider's interpretation as authoritative.
Privacy in brief
- Your uploaded PDF or photo is analyzed once and then deleted. We do not keep the original document.
- Without an account, extracted results stay only in your browser.
- With an account, extracted results are saved privately to you, and are visible to a clinic only if you connected to one.
- No advertising trackers, and we never sell your data.

Independence and HIPAA
Nodava is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any laboratory, clinic, hospital, or healthcare provider. Nodava is a consumer educational tool and is not a HIPAA-covered entity for individual accounts, so HIPAA protections do not apply to the information you upload to your personal record.
Emergencies
If you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe symptoms, thoughts of self-harm, or any other emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Do not use Nodava for urgent care decisions.
